Porcelain Veneers Redondo Beach and Manhattan Beach
Whether you want to enhance a single tooth or transform your entire smile, porcelain veneers may be the solution.A veneer is a thin layer of porcelain which is attached to the front of your teeth to conceal cosmetic blemishes, fixed worn or broken edges, or instantly straighten your smile. At Redondo Beach Dental Group, our dentists believe in getting things right the first time. After your initial consultation, smile analysis and diagnostic model mock ups, you will get temporary veneers where any final adjustments to their shape, size or placement can still be made. This will ensure your permanent veneers will be perfectly matched to give you the smile you always wanted.Contact our practice in the Redondo Beach and Manhattan Beach area today to schedule a consultation.
What Are Porcelain Veneers?
Veneers are made of incredibly thin porcelain, and they are custom-fabricated to complement the shape of your surrounding teeth and facial contours. They can conceal a wide range of cosmetic blemishes, including stains, chips, and cracks. Veneers can also change the shape of your teeth to enhance worn or disproportionately small teeth, or be used to close small gaps or correct slightly crooked teeth.
Planning Your Treatment
The team of doctors at Redondo Beach Dental Group in the Redondo Beach and Manhattan Beach area, take great care when it comes to planning your treatment. At your initial consultation, we will examine your teeth and discuss your cosmetic goals. We will perform a Smile Analysis from photos taken in our fully equipped photographic studio. From this analysis, calculations will be made and models of your teeth will be sent to our lab to bring to life our proposal for your new smile. These diagnostic models will also serve as a template for your temporary veneers. Nothing is left to chance! No one wants surprises! When the day arrives for us to actually change your smile, we will remove a thin layer of enamel from the front of your teeth. This will create the necessary space for us to place the material for the temporary veneer. After placing the temporary veneers on the front of your teeth, we will, again, take photos to make any final modifications.
We will also perform a complete smile analysis. We will take a series of detailed pictures and impressions of your teeth to create a three-dimensional wax-up model. This will help us determine the optimal size and shape for your veneers.
Finally, you will receive a set of temporary veneers. After we have placed the temporaries, we can determine if there are any adjustments that need to be made to the fit or design of the veneers.
After wearing your temporary veneers for two weeks, any additional modifications will be communicated to our lab where your final permanent porcelain veneers will be fabricated. Your next visit is the day we bond on your final veneers. It will be a joyous moment for all when you lift up the mirror to see your new smile for the first time and the tears of joy come streaming down!
We also offer minimal-prep veneers, which require little enamel removal, if any. We will discuss this option at your initial consultation and help you select the right type of veneers for your needs.
